WEDDING CAKE FAQs

Do you only make buttercream Wedding Cakes?
Our wedding cakes are iced with a beautiful white buttercream that looks stunning with natural flowers. Buttercream is a classic and extremely versatile cake finish. Whether you're after a clean and modern cake, or something to suit a rustic theme, smooth or textured buttercream is well worth considering for your special day.

How much will my Wedding Cake cost?
It's no surprise that every Wedding Cakes is different! Sweet Everything’s price is based on 3 factors:
-
The size and number of tiers for the Cake: how many guests are you planning to serve?
-
The flavour of the Cake: would you prefer a single flavour for the entire Cake or a different flavour for each tier?
-
The amount of decoration: Sweet Everythings offers 6 iced white buttercream designs. These are perfect for all kind of wedding styles, from classic to modern. But if you have a different buttercream look that you wish for your wedding cake, please do let us know! We are happy to create something special.
-
The final cost is determined by the amount of details, time and materials necessary to achieve the perfect Wedding Cake for you. As a rough guide, our bespoke Cakes start at £2.95 per serving. Keep in mind that structured, stacked tiers are much more difficult than you think! The more complicated the design and the larger the Cake, the more time and extra care is needed to create, bake and then set up on your Big Day.
How far away can you deliver?
We can deliver to most venues around south and central Scotland. If you wish to book us for your wedding further afield, we are happy to discuss delivery and set-up with you.

How do I book my Wedding with you?
To secure your order booking, Sweet Everythings requires payment of 50% of the total order. We also need to have our terms and conditions signed by you. The remaining balance is due at least 45 days before the wedding date.
How far in advance should I order?
Many wedding couples are booking fast and trying to get their plans organised sooner these days. It’s always good to make your Cake plans as soon as you can! Please don’t hesitate to ask, as it all depends on the diary. We still have bookings available for this year, and the diary is open for 2025 and 2026.
Can I visit your shop to see more examples of your Wedding Cakes and Dessert Tables?
Sweet Everythings creates our cakes in a busy home production kitchen that has been inspected by the Glasgow City Council. We do not have a shop front for visitors. Due to the current health and safety requirements, we are sending our wedding cake tasting samples by post. You can visit our website to see photos of our Wedding Cakes and other goodies that we’ve made, or you can follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to see photos of our Cakes as they’re being created.

Can I book by phone or email?
Order confirmation can be given by either phone or email, but booking dates are not reserved unless your 50% deposit has been paid. This secures your date in our diary.
